Blockout WR/MV

Description:

BLOCKOUT WR/MV is a water based and water dilutable one component filler for retouching and blocking-out stencils which are used for printing with water-based inks. BLOCKOUT WR/MV is VOC free and contains no alcohol or solvent.

Application:

For retouching pinholes and small defects apply the BLOCKOUT WR/MV with a fine brush.
For blocking out larger areas apply BLOCKOUT WR/MV using a plastic or cardboard scraper or a coating trough.

Drying:

WR/MV dries smoothly within 5-10 minutes, depending on the applied thickness and the mesh count.
Drying at elevated temperatures may provide better resistance to water based inks.

Decoating/Cleaning:

Clean tools immediately with warm water. After drying BLOCKOUT WR/MV can be decoated using typical reclaimers used for decoating polymer based stencils such as KIWO STENCIL REMOVER.
Apply the reclaimer solution with a soft, clean brush evenly on both sides of the screen after the screen has been carefully cleaned of ink residue. Rub the screen gently with a brush to dissolve the filler and emulsion.
After approximately 2 minutes, rinse thoroughly with a strong water spray. A high pressure water spray (1000 - 2000 psi, 40 - 60 bar) may be required for highly water resistant emulsions. Prolonged reaction time may result in reverse effects and does not help in the decoating process. Rather, rinse the screen and reapply fresh decoating solution.

Environmental Protection:

BLOCKOUT WR/MV can be eliminated through biological decomposition in adapted waste water treatment plants. The working solution can generally be emptied into the drains. Consult local authorities for local regulations.
