Kiwo Automatic Unit Ink Wash
Description
KIWO INK WASH FOR AUTOMATIC UNITS is a low odor solvent mixture for the removal of most screen printing inks. It is designed for cleaning screens prior to reclaiming. If screens are to be stored after cleaning, the remaining residue of the solvent must be washed off with water or KIWO INK REMOVER.Application
Before cleaning and reclaiming the screen, remove all ink with a scraper or spatula.Physical DataKIWO INK WASH FOR AUTOMATIC UNITS can be used in automatic screen cleaning equipment as well as in manual application.
The numbers of cycles in automatic screen cleaning equipment depend on the design of the machine and the application pressure of the solvent mixture. Evaporated material should be replenished with KIWO INK WASH FOR AUTOMATIC UNITS.
In manual application, rub both sides of the screen with a rag soaked in KIWO INK WASH until all ink residue is completely dissolved or emulsified, until the emulsion becomes clearly visible, then rinse well with water.
Should any ink residue remain on the screen, pour KIWO INK WASH FOR AUTOMATIC UNITS onto the screen and brush the screen every few minutes until the residue is dissolved. Remove the residue with a rag and rinse well with water. The cleaning power can also be enhanced by adding KIWO BOOSTER to the solvent mixture. (See KIWO BOOSTER data sheet.)
KIWO INK WASH FOR AUTOMATIC UNITS has a very low evaporation rate and may attack the frame adhesive if the screen is not rinsed with water after cleaning. Keep the soaking time as short as possible and if necessary, use a protective lacquer, such as ESTELAN AR to protect the adhesive.
