Kiwo Haze Remover

Description

KIWO HAZE REMOVER is a liquid haze remover for the removal of most ink stains and emulsion residue in the screen. It is formulated to be coated or sprayed onto the screen and react during the drying process. Once dried on the screen it does not react further. This allows for reaction over several hours or even over night, without damage to the screen.

Before using KIWO HAZE REMOVER, the screen must be reclaimed.

Apply KIWO HAZE REMOVER onto both sides of the screen using a low pressure spray, sponge, rag or a stainless steel coating trough. Dispose of any excess HAZE REMOVER left in the coating trough, do not pour it back into the container.

Let the treated screen dry until the HAZE REMOVER crystalizes on the screen. The drying time depends on temperature and humidity and can be in excess of one hour. Force drying with fans or in drying ovens has shown good success, but test trials are recommended. Very long drying time may affect the screen fabric, but the effectiveness is reduced drastically, once KIWO HAZE REMOVER is dried. Dry screens can be left for several hours or over night.

Rewetting and thorough rinsing with water, followed by a high pressure rinse is sufficient for removal of diazo stains. For tougher stains and ink residue a rewet the screen with KIWO INK WASH AND HAZE REMOVER ACTIVATOR. Pour KIWO INK WASH onto the screen and brush from both sides to re-dissolve the KIWO HAZE REMOVER. Then rinse with water and follow with a high pressure washer to remove the dissolved and emulsified residue.

KIWO INK WASH AND HAZE REMOVER ACTIVATOR has strong cleaning power and may attack the frame adhesive if the screen is soaked too long. Keep the soaking time as short as possible and if necessary, use a protective lacquer, such as ESTELAN AR to protect the adhesive.

Do not breathe fumes. All working areas should be well ventilated. Avoid contact with eyes and skin. It is recommended to wear protective glasses and gloves. Use respiratory protection if exposure limits are exceeded. See Material Safety Data Sheet for additional information.

KiWO haze remover can be eliminated through biological decomposition in adapted waste water treatment plants. The working solution (rinsed from the screen) can generally be emptied into the drains. Consult local authorities for local regulations.
